Late fall has been leaving me in a strange mood for a few weeks. It might be the beginning of a hibernation period or the fact the days are starting to get shorter and if you are not careful, you could go a whole day without seeing sun.

Last weekend I saw Drive, a movie about a Hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a wheelman discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong. Plus an awesome soundtrack. A few months ago, my friend David Formentin was talking to me over beers at Shake Shack about this film he wanted to create. He wanted to utilize social media and the Internet to spread the word and was asking me where to begin. For someone who would say his social media skills are not up to par, Birds of Paradise has gone above and beyond his funding goal on Kickstarter, raising $5,000 with 9 days to spare.
