I have to admit, I really have come to terms with my laidback nature in Chicago. No, I’m not running around and having misadventures as much as in New York, but I am realizing life’s little pleasures.
Like being able to walk down the street and buy nectarines for dinner.
Like attending the Chicago Blues Fest.
Like going to Bar Louie with your sister and her boyfriend by chance on Customer Appreciation Day (when pitchers are $5) and stay past happy hour.
Like having an internship that you love. I’m working on their “Not What You Think” Campaign
for the Chicago Public Library. Among other things, we are planning on creating a “Library Lounge” to be present at a couple of Chicago’s best summer events: Volleywood Beach Bash, Pitchfork Music Festival, Bucktown Music and Arts Fest, and Renegade Craft Fair. I will definitely be there at Volleywood and Pitchfork, so be sure to stop on by! Click on the “Not What You Think” ad with the Granny for more info.
You can win a free 3-day pass to Pitchfork Music Festival by entering Chicago Public Library’s Giveaway – just click on the Granny.
For Volleywood Beach Bash, you can sign up to be a power-pedal-pusher for our bike-generated Wi-Fi Hub in Chicago Public Library’s Library Lounge. Click on the Granny to find out how.
I’m also trying to teach myself a little more about HTML. First things first – I need to change up the look of this blog. As you can see, I changed the header and updated my “…this is what I do” section.
What would you like to see on my blog?
